Return permit to the Russian FederationReturn permit to the Russian federation is issued for the Russian citizens, permanently residing in Russia, who have lost or spoiled their Russian international passport during their stay in the USA. Return permit is issued only for the purpose of returning to the country of permanent residence (Russia) for the exact date of departure for Russia. The Russian international passport is then annulled and returned to the passport holder. Return permits are issued for the period of 15 days from the issue date. Upon arrival to Russia, return permit is to be submitted to the local department of internal affairs that has issued the Russian international passport. A new Russian international passport is processed by the local UVIR according to the address of permanent residence/registration in Russia. If you are currently residing in the USA on a valid student/work visa or a Greencard, and your Russian passport has been lost or spoiled, you may apply for Russian Passport Renewal. All return permits are processed through the Russian Consulate in Washington DC. To apply for a Return Permit please fill out the application form, sign and notarize the consulate forms sent by our customer service consultants and send them to us by mail along with additional documents*. Our office is located in downtown Chicago and if you live in the area, you may consult with us in person as well as document pick up/drop off to our passport processing office. *Attention: according to the official requirements our application form is filled out in Russian.
